Albert Smith, a Central Lafourche graduate and senior defensive tackle for Northwestern State University, has been named a defensive co-captain for Northwestern's game with Nicholls State at John L. Guidry Stadium in Thibodaux on Saturday, Nov. 14, according to Northwestern's athletics office.
Smith, son of Julia and Albert Smith Sr., is one of 5 players from south Louisiana who will serve as Northwestern's co-captions for game.
